Castle Phoenix

This gallery shows the development of The Sphere Room from January 2011.  The first photo shows the uneven rock base, how we waterproofed under the walls and the reo starter bars glued in.  The floor was flattened with buttress walls with rubble fill between.  These buttresses were then extended over the entire room, forming the sphere.  Brick walls were infilled and back filled with more rubble. It will eventually be rendered and mosaiced.
